Microsoft’s opinion on “new technology”

Posted on 02 July 2010 at 22:30 in divers|Jump To Comments

What they say:

Translation:

Even though the guys that make the internet have approved the CSS3 rules, we are smart and don’t implement them in our latest browser, because it’s a ‘working draft’ and we don’t trust it. The other 5 browsers that have already implemented CSS3 are naive because state of the art technology is bad for your health (causes cancer and AIDS).

We at Microsoft provide a browser that accurately supports web standards. Our standards aren’t old! You are too new! Internet Explorer 8 supports some CSS3 features, but mostly doesn’t! The ones it supports were suggested by Microsoft in the first place. Our main objective was to implement CSS2.1 because we had to catch up with the others. They made their browsers CSS3 compatible a long while ago. We don’t work with stuff that is still in development and can change!

P.S. Posted from Ubuntu.
